Changes to Horasis Global Meeting 2020

Since 2016, the Horasis Global Visions Community of influential business, government and social leaders has convened in Cascais, Portugal for the annual Horasis Global Meeting. 

Delegates from around the globe, including heads of state and CEOs from leading corporations, come together at the summit to explore new and innovative ways to inspire our future. 

Regrettably, due to growing concerns about the spread of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus), I must inform you that this year’s Horasis Global Meeting will be postponed. 

Over the past few days, concern has mounted rapidly about COVID-19. Recently, the World Health Organization raised the threat level to “very high,” and an increasing number of governments and private organizations are taking measures – including travel bans and bans on large congregations of people – aimed at slowing the spread of the virus. A growing list of global conferences are also either canceling or postponing events. 

We have been working closely with officials in the Portugeuse government, along with city officials from Cascais, and together have decided out of appropriate caution that we will postpone the meeting. 

We’d like to thank the Portuguese officials and the City of Cascais for their continued support of the Horasis Global Meeting over the years. We remain committed to the city of Cascais for its continued support of our mission and its willingness to bring together attendees in the name of pressing and noble causes. 

When the situation stabilizes, we will recommence discussions with Portuguese authorities to reschedule the Horasis Global Meeting and will update all on the outcome in due course.

Horasis’ mission is to inspire the future and we are proud and humbled to be part of the unique community we have built over the years together. We are deeply convinced that the future of the businesses we are running, the communities we form and the countries we live in depend on our collective energy, resilience and care.
