The inaugural Global India Business Meeting was held in Munich, 28-29 June 2009. Co-hosts were the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the State of Bavaria, with Messe München International and VBW (the Bavarian Business Association). The Global India Business Meeting aims to be the foremost annual gathering of Indian business leaders and their global counterparts. The event was open to Chief Executive Officers of the world’s leading companies. The event was intellectually supported by a set of partner firms led by the Strategic Foresight Group, Mumbai. The meeting was held at a critical time, coming less then a month after the formation of the new Indian government. The meeting facilitated dialogue that allowed participants to fully explore the unique opportunities that India has at its doorstep in this new global arena.

Horasis already hosts the annual Global China Business Meeting – the forth edition was held in Barcelona, 17-19 November 2009.
