Horasis names Laura González-Estéfani as Technology Advisor

Zurich, Switzerland — In our continued dedication to inspiring our future, Horasis is pleased to announce that Laura González-Estéfani, Founder and CEO of TheVentureCity, will be joining us as technology advisor.

Laura González-Estéfani was Facebook’s first employee in Spain, and from 2008 to 2012 was Director of the social network’s office for Spain and Portugal. She later was named to the Investment Committee on the European Innovation Council Fund, which helps fund new innovations that positively impact the continent, and was named a Board Member at Caixabank.

This year González-Estéfani was recognized as a Henry Crown Fellow by the Aspen Institute. The yearly Henry Crown Fellowship Program was established in 1997 to help accomplished entrepreneurial leaders move beyond business success, and generate impact in their communities, or globally.

At TheVentureCity González-Estéfani supports entrepreneurs and ecosystems by investing in early-stage, mission-driven and diverse founders. With offices in Miami and Madrid, TheVentureCity’s global accelerator makes the entrepreneurial ecosystem more diverse and accessible to fair capital, with over 50% of its leadership positions filled by women.
