Horasis China Meeting Postponed to October 24-25, 2021 due to Covid-19
The Horasis China Meeting is the think tank’s longest-running summit, having grown in the past 16 years to become the foremost annual gathering of Chinese business leaders and their global counterparts.
27 August 2020, Yerevan, Armenia – Horasis, a global visions community dedicated to advancing collaborative solutions for sustainable growth, today announced that its 2020 Horasis China Meeting in Yerevan, Armenia will be postponed until 24-25 October 2021 due to global travel restrictions brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Co-hosted by ATOM Foundation and the China Federation of Industrial Economics under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Armenia H.E. Dr. Armen Sarkissian, the Horasis China Meeting draws more than 300 participants from business and government for an intense, two-day programme designed to cover opportunities and challenges that Chinese firms need to identify and address successfully as they engage globally.
Additionally, the Horasis China Meeting provides a platform to discuss and develop strategies for expanding trade and foreign investment between China and Armenia, two countries with broad prospects for cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
“As the world continues to recover and regroup amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Horasis and its partners have made the cautious decision to postpone the in-person Horasis China Meeting, which was to be held in Yerevan in October,” said Dr. Frank-Jürgen Richter, Chairman of Horasis. “We are eager to return to Yerevan in October 2021 to continue our mission to advance solutions to the most critical challenges facing corporations today.”
The virtual session on Advancing Armenia’s Knowledge-based Economy will be organised at the Horasis Extraordinary Meeting on 1 October 2020. This session will enable us to discuss the investment landscape and growth prospects of Armenia despite the global COVID-induced economic uncertainties.
